GoodGround Alliance
Empowering Youth to Thrive Beyond Foster Care

About GoodGround Alliance
GoodGround Alliance was created in response to a critical need in Michigan’s foster care system. We recognized that youth aging out of foster care face significant challenges—homelessness, lack of mentorship, and limited life-skills preparation—leaving them unprepared for independence. Our mission is to bridge this gap by providing structure, stability, and guidance during this pivotal transition, ensuring that no young person is left to navigate adulthood alone.
We are committed to preparing young adults for real-world success through comprehensive support services. Our transitional living program serves youth ages 14–23 who were in foster care after age 14, offering up to 18–21 months of housing, mentoring, life-skills training, and practical assistance. Our work is rooted in compassion, accountability, and the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive.
